Jorge Buitron

Introducing Jorge Buitron, a coffee connoisseur from La Florida farm in Pitalito. With 40 years of experience, he cultivates Pink Bourbon and Castillo varieties at an impressive altitude of 1750 masl. On his five-hectare farm, 3.5 hectares are dedicated to coffee, boasting 50,000 trees. Accompanied by his wife, Ester, during harvests, Jorge carries on his parents' coffee legacy. While his children have moved away, they share his passion and visit frequently, igniting a generational interest in coffee production. Formerly part of a local co-op, Jorge finds our project appealing, offering added value and streamlining the wet mill and drying processes. Together, we nurture tradition and innovation on Jorge's cherished farm.
